MECASOLAR to present solar trackers at ENREG ENERGIA REGENERABILA

by Staff Writers Navarra, Spain (SPX) Mar 04, 2013 SPX

MECASOLAR will participate in the ENREG ENERGIA REGENERABILA trade fair, to be held from 6 to 8 March. This international event focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency will draw more than 2,000 visitors to Arad, a Romanian city in the border with Hungary and Serbia.

This year, the trade fair, attracting experts in PV solar power, is holding its 5th edition. Once again, it will be a space for sharing know-how and information, exhibiting products and services, and making contacts in the Romanian solar PV industry.

Also, during the trade fair there will be a lecture centred on the changes and risks of the PV solar sector. Here MECASOLAR will present its newest dual-axis and polar aligned or horizontal single-axis trackers, which can best adapt to the Romanian market. The lecture will be delivered by engineer Giorgos Mixoudis, who works at MECASOLAR Greece.

MECASOLAR has manufactured and delivered more than 343MW in solar trackers and structures to more than 500 PV solar farms in more than 40 countries in all five continents. The company has manufacturing plants in Spain, Italy, Canada, USA and Greece.

At ENREG ENERGIA REGENERABILA, MECASOLAR will take a step towards consolidating its presence in Romania, where the multinational company is working jointly with several developers.

Recently, the national energy regulator (ANRE) announced that this year the country would cut the number of green certificates in solar projects from 6GC/MWh to 4GC/MWh. Currently, green certificates amount to 27-55 euros MWh ($29-$73 MWh) per GC for 15 years. In the face of GC reduction, with MECASOLAR trackers Romanian users will be able to increase return on investment.

Current projects reach over 1,200MW. 150MW of them are now under way, expected to be finished by the end of this year in order to get cheap electricity prices prior to the reduction in GC/MWh announced by the Romanian government.

With its manufacturing plant in Thessaloniki, Greece, MECASOLAR has become a leading supplier of solar trackers in eastern Mediterranean countries, delivering products to projects in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Turkey, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and particularly Greece.

What is more, PROINSO, exclusive retailer of MECASOLAR products, currently has six Romanian companies in its International Network of Qualified Installers. These Romanian firms are ENERGOVOLTAIC GROUP, EUROMAGNUM TRADE, PANTUROIU O. DINU CONSTANTIN I.I., POMARIONE COMP S.R.L., SARA INSTALL S.R.L. and TERRA ENERGY CONCEPT S.R.L.
