The UN nuclear watchdog on Friday said there had been three incidents this week involving drones at the Zaporizhzhia plant in Ukraine, injuring two employees, and raising renewed safety concerns.
"Radiation levels at the site remain normal," the International Atomic Energy Agency said in a post on X.
One attack reportedly happened on Tuesday near the cooling plant of the site, which is Europe's largest nuclear facility.
On Wednesday, a drone detonated on the site of the dry spent nuclear fuel storage while a third on the same day reportedly hit the sprinkling device of the plant's power units system.
IAEA director general Rafael Grossi said that any attack against nuclear sites is "unacceptable" and called for "maximum military restraint to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident".
Zaporizhzhia, in southern Ukraine, was seized by the Russian army in March 2022, just weeks after its full-scale invasion.
Both sides in the conflict regularly accuse each other of attacking the site in the city of Enerhodar, on the banks of the Dnipro river that marks the frontline in the sector.
IAEA teams have had a permanent presence at the plant since September 2022. Zaporizhzhia's six reactors have been shut down since 2022.
